Early Life
Mehenti was born in East Windsor, New Jersey, on August 5, 1978. His parents were Indian immigrants, making him a first-generation American. In Hightstown, New Jersey, he attended Hightstown High School. Mehenti earned a B.A. in journalism and a B.A. in political science from Rutgers University.
After graduating from Rutgers, Mehenti was recruited as a producer for Melinda Murphy at WPIX-TV in New York. He began his career as a weekend sportscaster for WMGM-TV in Wildwood, New Jersey. Mehenti departed the east coast in 2001 to work as a weekend sportscaster for WOI-DT in Des Moines, Iowa, where he stayed until 2005. He then spent six years at KDVR-TV and KWGN-TV in Denver.
Career
Mehenti began working at ESPN in 2011. He has largely worked as the anchor or co-host of many SportsCenter incarnations. Mehenti was picked to co-host an ESPN Radio morning show alongside Keyshawn Johnson and Jay Williams in August 2020.
